What Will Stay You Alive (2019) is a 26-minute performance that uses strategies associated with performance art, prop comedy, experimental theatre and dance, and shifts abruptly and unexpectedly between brief scenes that consider the limitations of self-soothing, the potential deficiencies of wellness, and the implications of finishing what you started. The artist works with a supporting cast of found props, including self-massage tools, a personal comfort pillow in the shape of an arm, platform Crocs, rubber gloves and more, delivering a series of monologues and abstract gestures alongside sound compositions, pop music, opera classics and other noises.
