IMAGES FROM INNU LANGUAGE

Inspired by Anne-Marie Proulx’s series Voix du Nitassinan, this workshop is an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the Innu language and culture.

STORIES OF IDENTITY

In collaboration with Arc-en-ciel d’Afrique, this workshop, based on Zanele Muholi’s work, explores the history of the recognition of sexual minorities, rights.

ECHO OF AN IMAGE

Inspired by Frédéric Lavoie’s work Rue Notre-Dame, 1887, this workshop invites the audience to imagine, from archival photographs and assisted by the artist, a soundtrack that they will record in a studio of CIBL. At the end of the workshops, the artist will gather the individual recordings in order to create a collective work.

Workshop animated by the Brila team, certified practitioners of the Philosophy of Children pedagogical model. This philosophical creative workshop is an original way to question our perception of the images that surround us.

THE IMAGE IS YOURS!

Children from 12 to 17 years old

From a description of a work featured in the biennale, youngsters are invited to stage a new image according to their own interpretation. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif will act as ambassador for this workshop.
